Based on the successful Awning Companion, this new awning pole tensioner is an even simpler design! The single clamp is quickly attached to the awning pole with the non-slip pad located against the pole fitting. Squeeze the trigger and tension the fabric.

The same precision ratchet mechanism used in the Awning Companion allows the poles to be extended one small increment at a time. The non-return mechanism ensures that the poles stay apart whilst you tighten the pole fitting. It makes it so much easier for one person to put up the awning and get it looking great.

Troubled by pools of water forming on your awning roof?

Often the solution is simply to increase the tension in the awning's roof poles. However, many people find it almost impossible to pull the poles apart enough, at arms length it is hard to exert much more than about 5kg pressure. The Awning Companion can exert a force of up to 40kg to pull the poles apart, and it does so one small increment at a time thanks to the internal ratchet mechanism. Once in the correct place it acts as a "third hand", just let go of the tensioner and tighten up the pole fittings.
