UK Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations (SI 2006 No.3289)

The UK WEEE regulations require that businesses involved in the supply of electronic and electrical equipment take an active role in its recycling.

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste, and sending it to landfill causes lead and other toxins can leak out and cause soil and water contamination, harming wildlife and human health.

Fortunately, many electrical items can now be repaired or recycled. That's why we're offering free recycling on a like‐for‐like basis - so when you buy a new item from us, we can take care of your old model.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

Simply return your old item to: Caravan Accessory Shop, 42 Cromer Rd, West Runton, Cromer NR27 9AD or drop it into our store and we ensure it is recycled.

Under the Waste Battery Regulations, Caravan Accessory Shop are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries. You can return your waste batteries to our business premises in person (PLEASE DO NOT POST).

Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at: www.recyclenow.com. Most supermarkets have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also have collection points.
